Powerslave Disco trouxe banda ao Brasil pela primeira vez Dentre os fatores que tornaram o Iron Maiden uma das mais bem-sucedidas bandas da história do rock, um fundamental reside no cuidado que Steve Harris e seus colegas dedicam a seus shows. Além de exímios músicos, eles também tem grande senso de espetáculo, apresentando novidades a cada nova turnê. Quando lançaram Powerslave, valiam-se até de pirâmides no palco. Além, é lógico, de incluir nos shows o deliciosamente macabro mascote Eddie, um dos monstrinhos mais queridos de todos os tempos. A turnê deste disco trouxe a banda pela primeira vez ao Brasil, rendendo o lendário show de janeiro de 85 no Rock In Rio. Os destaques ficam por conta de duas faixas brilhantes, a energética Aces High e a vibrante e anti-militarista 2 Minutes To Midnight. A intricada e ancestral do prog metal Rime Of The Anciet Mariner (com mais de 13 minutos de duração) é outro ponto alto de um ótimo CD. | Virei um fanático pela Donzela de Ferro quando ouvi o disco pela primeira vez aos 14 anos..Tenho hoje 31 e o escuto direto!Album fantástico!Gosto de todas as músicas,mas Rime of the Ancient Mariner é excepcional!Álbum obrigatório para quem curte metal de qualidade!

| Lançado originalmente em 1984, Powerslave é considerado um dos álbuns de Heavy Metal mais perfeitos da história; e aqui no Brasil, Powerslave, junto com The Number of the Beast, é o álbum preferido da maioria dos fãs do Iron Maiden. Destacar os hits “2 Minutes to Midnight” e “Aces High” seria chover no molhado, assim como a faixa-título, “Powerslave”; assim como também seria redundância destacar a épica “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” (cuja letra é baseada na obra homônima do poeta inglês Samuel Taylor Coleridge, e cuja música tem mais de 13 minutos de duração)...Mas seria impossível deixar de destacar a faixa “The Duellists”, uma música muitas vezes subestimada pela maioria dos fãs do Iron Maiden, e até mesmo desconhecida daqueles que só conhecem os hits da banda, mas cujo poder de fogo é algo simplesmente fulminante – e o poder desta música não está somente no baixo galopante de Steve Harris, nem na fantástica voz de Bruce Dickinson, mas sim nas guitarras, para ser mais exato, nos solos e duetos de guitarra de Adrian Smith e Dave Murray, que duram exatos 3 minutos, dos pouco mais de 6 minutos de música: É impossível não se emocionar, não se contagiar e não se deliciar com os solos e duetos tão fantásticos, tão maravilhosos e tão harmoniosos desta poderosa música...Aliás, simplesmente faltam adjetivos para definir, de forma exata, esta e todas as outras músicas do álbum...Sem dúvidas, o álbum Powerslave é uma verdadeira aula de bom gosto e genialidade musical – uma aula de Heavy Metal.

| É um bom disco, não como o The Number Of The Beast, ou o Fear Of The Dark, que pra mim são os melhores de todos, mas vale a pena ter em sua coleção.
